The Imaggeo image repository 29 January 2014 Ever been looking for a great picture to illustrate your work? Have a look at imaggeo! Imaggeo is EGU’s online open access geosciences image repository. Everyone can submit their photographs and videos to this repository and, since it is open access, these images can be used for free by scientists for their presentations or publications, by educators and the general public, and some images can even be used freely for commercial purposes. Imaggeo is also always looking for new great contributions, so please see if you could contribute! More about Imaggeo can be found here including a map overview of the images.
AGU-Tectonophysics and GSA-Structural Geology and Tectonics 19 November 2013 We are pleased to announce our new collaborations with the AGU-Tectonophysics section and the Structural Geology and Tectonics division of GSA! Starting from the 2014 EGU General Assembly (more info), we will co-sponsor two to four sessions at our respective annual meetings, but we are open to suggestions for other means of widening the scope of such collaborations.
TS medals 2014 14 October 2013 We are very delighted to announce the awardees of the two TS medals, which will be handed over at the EGU General Assembly 2014. Outstanding Student Poster awards 2013 28 May 2013 Based on the evaluation at the EGU General Assembly 2013 the TS Division has now awarded two Outstanding Student Posters (OSP). The following two posters are awarded: Ken McDermott for his poster "The seismic signature of hidden faults at magma-poor rifted margins" (authors Ken McDermott and Tim Reston) Thomas Seers for his poster "Comparison of digital outcrop and conventionaldata collection approaches for the characterisation of naturally fractured reservoir analogues" (authors Thomas Seers and David Hodgetts) We thank Ken and Thomas for their excellent scientific contribution to the TS community and congratulate them on the OSP award.
