Applications open for EGU Public Engagement Grants 16 November 2015 The EGU is launching a new grant scheme to celebrate and recognise excellent science communication in the Earth, planetary and space sciences. EGU 2016 call for papers 2 November 2015 Are you interested in presenting your work at the upcoming EGU General Assembly? Make sure to submit your abstract by 13 January 2016, 13:00 CET. If you would like to apply for financial support to attend the meeting, please submit your abstract no later than 1 December 2015. EGU Early Career Scientist definition changed 28 October 2015 Following the replacement of the term Young Scientist (YS) by Early Career Scientist (ECS) earlier this year, the EGU Council has now approved a new ECS definition that is inclusive of those who start their research career later on in life. New policy section on the EGU website 19 October 2015 The EGU has launched a new section on its website with a focus on science policy. This section includes an introduction to European policy-making landscape, highlights pathways available for scientists to get involved with supporting the policy-making process, and provides information and reading resources to learn more about policy organisation.
