EGU2015: Applying for financial support to attend the General Assembly 29 October 2014 A limited amount of the overall budget of the EGU General Assembly is reserved to assist young scientists and established scientists from low and middle income countries who wish to present their work at the meeting. Scientists who wish to apply for financial support should submit an abstract, on which they are first authors, by 28 November 2014. Read more

Planet Press: EGU news for children! 3 September 2014 The EGU has launched a new educational initiative called Planet Press: short versions of our press releases written in a child-friendly language. Highs and lows: height changes in the ice sheets mapped Press release 20 August 2014 Researchers in Germany have used satellite data to map elevation and elevation changes in both Greenland and Antarctica. The new maps are the most complete published to date, from a single satellite mission. The results are published today in The Cryosphere. Read more
