How To Visualise Your Research Using Scientific, Accessible Graphics
Visuals are a cornerstone of science communication with graphical choices, such as the contrast or ordering of a colour gradient, influencing how viewers interpret data. However, communicating research using visuals in a manner that is both scientifically sound and accessible is a stumbling block for many.
In this webinar, geophysicist and graphic designer Fabio Crameri presents the best practices for visualising your research. Fabio will be providing guidance such as how to visualise results in a manner that is true to the data, and how to emphasize the readability of your visuals including how to make them accessible for the colour-blind.
The webinar will conclude with an audience Q&A, so come prepped with your own questions!
Fabio Crameri produces freelance research and science-related graphic design. Fabio does research in planet-scale geophysics, software engineering, and scientific visualisation. One of his current projects is ‘Scientific colour maps for data-true and inclusive visualisation.’
