Vanishing Glaciers with Harry Zekollari
Across the Earth mountain glaciers have been melting at an accelerating pace: ancient ice behemoths, some many thousands of years old, have shrunk or disappeared as the global climate warms at an unprecedented rate. In this Webinar, EGU will be sitting to talk interview-style with Dr. Harry Zekollari, a glaciologist at the Université libre de Bruxelles and ETH Zurich. We’ll be asking our expert what is triggering the accelerated loss of glaciers? How will glacier loss impact communities, both as a resource and a natural hazard? And may we expect an ice-free future as the effects of climate change intensify?
The webinar will conclude with an audience Q&A, so come prepped with your own questions!
