GMPV ECS Campfires - Series 14
The 14th edition of the Geochemistry, Mineralogy, Petrology and Volcanology division’s early career scientists talks (EGU campfires) will be a general format event. The talks will be held on Wednesday 10th November at 11am CEST on Zoom.
Our three speakers are:
Alessia Falasconi (Ph.D. Student, the University of Florence, Italy) – The opening phase of the Pomici di Avellino eruption (Somma-Vesuvius): towards the understanding of the modalities of eruption trigger and magma ascent
Marco Knüver (Ph.D. Student, the University of Bari, Italy) – Short timescale assimilation of carbonate rocks: How does it influence magma rising processes?
Andrew Whyte (Ph.D. Student, the University of Cambridge, UK) – Quantifying water diffusivity and metamorphic reaction rates within mountain belts, and their implications for the rheology of cratons
Talk attendance is by registration only.
