Uneven Ground: Addressing Vulnerabilities in Fieldwork

In recent years, there has been growing awareness of the discrimination and challenges faced by geoscientists both within and beyond academia, supported by research findings and personal accounts. However, vulnerabilities during fieldwork remain an often-overlooked aspect of this issue. EGU, along with the EDI and ECS working groups, is committed to shedding light on the multifaceted nature of these vulnerabilities, including harassment, racial and gender discrimination, and safety concerns.

In this webinar, invited speakers from diverse backgrounds will share their research insights and personal experiences. The webinar will focus on actionable strategies to create safer, more inclusive, and supportive field environments, ensuring that fieldwork is a positive and accessible experience for all.
