Novel and inclusive approaches to policy engagement - Session 1

Led by two Scientia Scripta team members – experts in science communication and engagement – you’ll learn to confidently present your research as vital evidence for policy, ensuring your work makes a meaningful impact.

Discover why geoscientists need to be policy-savvy, get ahead of the game with a fresh perspective on inclusive and creative policy development, and gain practical skills to monitor the policy landscape, engage at the right moments, and build trusted relationships. Join us and become a catalyst for change in policy development!

Training Schedule:

This workshop series will take place on 29 October, 5 and 12 November. All sessions will start at 11:00 CET.

Session 1:

This session will last 2 hours 30 minutes.

In this session, you will learn why geoscientists need to be policy-savvy; participants will be guided through how to identify the needs of policy-makers and traditional approaches to informing evidence-informed policy.

The sessions will be divided as follows:

Only EGU Members can apply to participate in these workshops and attendees will be shortlisted by the EGU Outreach Committee selected by their answers to the question, ‘Why do you want to attend this workshop?’ and to ensure a diverse group of participants. Successful applicants will be emailed with further information after the deadline has passed.
