The EGU 2024 Science-Policy Pairing Scheme with MEP Jutta Paulus

This year’s pairing will be with Jutta Paulus, a German Member of the European Parliament (MEP), representing the Group of the Greens/European Free Alliance. Ms Paulus is a member of the European Parliament’s Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety and a substitute member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy and the Committee on Transport and Tourism. Before joining the Parliament, Paulus worked as a pharmacist, founded a laboratory for environmental and pollutant analysis, and had an extensive political career in Germany.

The successful applicant, Bianca Drepper will join Ms Paulus and her team in Brussels and may be asked to participate in various aspects of policymaking. A GeoPolicy Blog post will be shared in early 2025 highlighting these activities and Drepper's experience!
