The EGU Geoscience Days are events organised around Europe that aim to
raise awareness of the Earth, planetary and space sciences to students, the
wider public and national policymakers. They feature prominent geoscientists
and are delivered in the local language of the country and/or in English. The
events are put together by members of the EGU Outreach Committee, together
with local representatives.
For more information about EGU Geoscience Days, please contact the
Outreach Committee Chair, Solmaz Mohadjer

A team of geoscientists host EGU’s Geoscience Day in Santorini and Nisyros (Greece) with a diverse audience: 60 young students from Nisyros Elementary School, 120 students from the Vocational High School of Santorini, educators, local journalists and representatives of the tourism industry.
What are the possibilities of Carbon Farming? What kind of methods are possible or already in use, and what does science say about their effectiveness? Join the Geoscience Day to hear from the experts! The event is held partly in English and partly in Finnish.
The first EGU Geoscience Day will feature lectures by a number of Romanian researchers, aimed mostly at University students, as well as a Geosciences Café at the Astronomical Institute of the Romanian Academy, aimed at the wider public.
