Submit your abstract and register for the EGU 2014 General Assembly
2 January 2014
The EGU 2014 General Assembly, which is taking place in Vienna, Austria from 27 April-2 May, will bring together geoscientists from all over the world to one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, planetary and space sciences. The deadline for abstract submission is 16 January.
For the first time, in 2014, the EGU General Assembly will have a theme: The Face of the Earth. Much like a human face, our planet exhibits a huge diversity of shapes and forms. This theme aims to celebrate that diversity in geoscience processes – from the core of the Earth to interplanetary space. The theme does not constrain the topics to be presented at the Assembly. Rather, it will add to the conference experience.
You can submit your abstract for the conference until 16 January 2014 at 13:00 CET. In addition to established scientists, early career researchers and undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to submit abstracts to present their research at the conference.
You can browse through the EGU 2014 sessions online. Clicking on ‘please select’ will allow you to search for sessions by Programme Group and submit your abstract to the relevant session either as plain text, LaTeX, or a MS Word document. Further guidelines on how to submit an abstract are available on the EGU 2014 website.
Early registration for the conference is open until 31 March 2014. Scientists can register online on the General Assembly website. Note that EGU members benefit from reduced member rates: to become a member, go to www.egu.eu/membership/, where you can both become a new member, or renew your EGU membership.
If you are a journalist or public information officer, please check http://media.egu.eu for information about media participation at the Assembly.
