In 2021, the Geosciences Information for Teachers (GIFT) workshop will take place virtually from19–29 April as part of vEGU21, EGU’s online General Assembly 2021.

The topic of this workshop will be “Water in the solar system”, and sessions will be held on:

• Monday 19 April, 13:15-16.00 CEST
• Wednesday 21 April, 10:00-12:45 CEST
• Friday 23 April, 13:15-16:00 CEST
• Saturday 24 April, 13:15-16:00 CEST
• Tuesday 27 April, 10:00:12:45 CEST
• Thursday 29 April, 13:15:16:00 CEST

During these sessions, workshop attendees will explore key aspects of water on Earth and other planets through topical presentations from scientists at the cutting edge of research as well as hands-on teaching activities, following the tradition of GIFT workshops.

Interested teachers should apply using the online application form. Registration fees for both the vGIFT and the full vEGU21 conference will be waived for accepted participants.

The closing date for the receipt of completed applications is Monday 22 February 2021. Teachers will be notified of the results of their applications by mid-March.
