Webinar: Getting involved in EGU2020: Sharing Geoscience Online
3 April 2020
At 3:30 pm on Monday 6 April, the European Geosciences Union (EGU) will offer a webinar about EGU 2020: Sharing Geoscience Online, the new series of virtual activities that will be held from 4-8 May in place of the physical General Assembly in Vienna. These activities will help foster scientific communication and research by enabling abstract authors to share presentation materials and participate in live text chat discussions throughout the week.
This webinar will highlight the new online activities and platform and describe how scientists can get involved as conveners, abstract presenters and general participants.
The webinar will last approximately 30 minutes, with an additional 15 minutes for questions from participants. Speakers will include:
- Alberto Montanari, EGU President and Professor of Water Engineering and Hydrology at the University of Bologna
- Susanne Buiter, Chair of the EGU Programme Committee and Researcher at RWTH Aachen University
