Do you wish you knew how to respond when you see inappropriate or exclusive behaviours taking place? Why not join the EGU Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Committee’s Bystander Intervention Workshop, run in partnership with ADVANCEGeo!
The European Geosciences Union, through its Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee aims to promote and support equality, diversity, and inclusion in the Earth and space sciences, with a focus on EGU activities. The EDI committee works closely with the EGU Council and Outreach Committee to implement activities that promote equality, diversity and inclusion.
ADVANCEGeo is a national, interdisciplinary, and multi-institutional partnership founded through a National Science Foundation award to improve workplace climate conditions through the promotion of bystander intervention education and policies to appropriately respond to and prevent harassment, bullying, and other identity-based exclusionary behaviors in research and learning environments.
This online workshop will be run on 22 November 2024, 14:00-17:00 CET, online and will address these topics directly in the course. The workshop is free of charge, however, there is limited capacity, and 30 spots will be allocated based on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
