Job description

We are looking to bring on board in 2025 two top PhD students for the topic of coupling machine learning with debris flow modelling to boost search and rescue post-landslide disaster.

The University of Hong Kong (HKU) is ranked 17th in the World and 2nd in Asia according to 2025 QS Ranking. We are a research-intensive university that cultivates the brightest minds from around the world.
We are looking to support two PhD students for 48 months with a monthly stipend of HK$18,760 per month.

The candidate should possess a Bachelor degree from a top university. The candidate must demonstrate a track record of scholarship and curiosity to pursue a research career.
