Job description

A fully-funded PhD opportunity “Assessing the impact of glacier surges on 21st century ice mass loss in Svalbard using satellite remote sensing, climate reanalysis and modelling” is currently being advertised as part of the QUARTILES DLA run between the University of Aberdeen and Queen’s University Belfast, UK. Following a competitive internal sift this project has been selected and is GUARANTEED funding (someone will be appointed), and is available for home (UK) and international students (please note however that QUARTILES DLA funding does not cover visa costs either for the applicant or for accompanying family members, the UK immigration health surcharge or any other additional costs associated with relocation to the UK).
