Job description

Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 within UCD School of Earth Sciences.

Dr Aline Melo (Assistant Professor in the UCD School of Earth Sciences) and Prof Murray Hitzman (director of iCRAG – Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre in Applied Geosciences), are currently seeking a Post-Doctoral researcher to join her team of 3 PhD students and 2 research assistants. The successful candidate will work on a project funded by iCRAG, the Geological Survey Ireland (GSI), and a group of six industry partners composed of multinational mining, exploration, and service companies (BHP, Glencore, Boliden, South 32, KoBold Metals, Sander Geophysics Ltd.).

POST DOC LEVEL 1 Salary Range: €44,847 – €51,313 per annum
Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Closing date: 12:00 noon (local Irish time) on the 11th of February 2025.
