National geoscientific societies
The EGU maintains relationships with national geoscientific societies, including setting up roundtable discussions at its General Assembly to discuss joint collaboration and providing an online platform for these national associations. The aims of building an (informal) network of national geoscientific societies and organising roundtable discussions are to assist these societies to (1) develop a co-ordinated voice to communicate with policy-makers and the European Research Council, (2) collaborate in outreach, media, publishing, and excursions, and (3) share resources, such as, field notes, events calendar, career materials, and educational materials.
