Publications
Below are the EGU's open access peer-reviewed journals relevant to the Earth Magnetism & Rock Physics Division. For a complete list of EGU journals, click here.
The EGU journals are indexed in the Web of Science, Scopus, Google Scholar, etc. We refrain from displaying the journal metrics here since citation metrics used in isolation do not describe importance, impact, or quality of a journal. However, these metrics can be found on the websites of the respective journals.
Solid Earth (SE)
Solid Earth (SE) publishes multidisciplinary research on the composition, structure, dynamics of the Earth from the surface to the deep interior at all spatial and temporal scales.
Climate of the Past (CP)
Climate of the Past (CP) is an international scientific journal dedicated to the publication and discussion of research articles, short communications, and review papers on the climate history of the Earth. CP covers all temporal scales of climate change and variability, from geological time through to multidecadal studies of the last century. Studies focusing mainly on present and future climate are not within scope.
Earth System Dynamics (ESD)
Earth System Dynamics (ESD) is an international scientific journal dedicated to the publication and public discussion of studies that take an interdisciplinary perspective of the functioning of the whole Earth system and global change. The overall behaviour of the Earth system is strongly shaped by the interactions among its various component systems, such as the atmosphere, cryosphere, hydrosphere, oceans, pedosphere, lithosphere, and the inner Earth, but also by life and human activity.
Natural Hazards and Earth System Sciences (NHESS)
Natural Hazards and Earth System Sciences (NHESS) is an interdisciplinary and international journal dedicated to the public discussion and open-access publication of high-quality studies and original research on natural hazards and their consequences. Embracing a holistic Earth system science approach, NHESS serves a wide and diverse community of research scientists, practitioners, and decision makers concerned with detection of natural hazards, monitoring and modelling, vulnerability and risk assessment, and the design and implementation of mitigation and adaptation strategies, including economical, societal, and educational aspects.
Nonlinear Processes in Geophysics (NPG)
Nonlinear Processes in Geophysics (NPG) is an international, interdisciplinary journal for the publication of original research furthering knowledge on nonlinear processes in all branches of Earth, planetary, and solar system sciences. The editors encourage submissions that apply nonlinear analysis methods to both models and data.
