Description
Climate change and a growing population are putting pressure on our global water resources, especially those used for agriculture. Educate your students about the pressures faced by agricultural communities in terms of water supply and how this affects livelihoods. Included is a summary of a current research project, an interview with hydrologist Dr Emile Elias and a career guide for students interested in hydrology. The activity sheet includes discussion points – eight questions the students can answer in groups of individually –, instructions on how to model the Greenhouse Effect and links to wonderful resources from the Asombro Institute for Science Education.
