Members of the EGU Education Committee (EC)
The Education Committee co-ordinates the EGU activities related to secondary and tertiary education. It currently consists of one chair and 14 members.
EGU Geoscience Field Officers (GEFO)
In 2019, the EGU began a new initiative to appoint Geoscience Education Field Officers and train them to provide professional development to school teachers who have elements of geoscience in their teaching curriculum. After appointing officers in Portugal, Italy, France, Spain and Germany, the EGU is seeking to build on this success by expanding the initiative to three additional European countries.
