Mélinda Martins is a Research Fellow at the Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) within the Marine Geology Division. She studies hydroclimatic changes in the subtropical western Atlantic, with a focus on past climate dynamics through the Hydroshifts project. Mélinda presented her MSc thesis work on "Deciphering Local from Global Signals in Portimão Bank Sedimentary Dynamics" during her PICO presentation at the EGU 2024 General Assembly, where she was honored with the OSPP Award.
