The 2021 Virtual Outstanding Student and PhD candidate Presentation (vOSPP) Award is awarded to Yi Zhang for the poster/PICO entitled:

Projections of tropical heat stress constrained by atmospheric dynamics (Zhang, Y.; Held, I.; Fueglistaler, S.)

Yi Zhang is a PhD student of atmospheric and oceanic sciences at Princeton University. She studies the patterns of convection, rainfall, radiative fluxes using a combination of theory, modeling, and observations. In her EGU 2021 presentation, she presented the first theoretical projection of tropical extreme heat stress which is consistent with observations and global climate models.
