Martin Gauch is a PhD student at the Institute for Machine Learning at Johannes Kepler University, Linz, Austria. His work is at the intersection of Machine Learning and hydrology, striving to create accurate Deep Learning models for rainfall-runoff prediction. Recently, his research focused on neural network architectures for time series prediction at multiple timescales.
In his presentation at EGU 2021, he demonstrated a Deep Learning architecture that seamlessly integrates any available past and future meteorological data to generate rainfall-runoff forecasts, and that can produce predictions at multiple timescales within a single model.
