I am currently a postdoc researcher in the IRSTEA center of Grenoble (Univ. Grenoble Alpes), within the Torrential Erosion, Snow and Avalanche research unit. I am working on torrential floods and Nature-based solution for flood protection within the H2020 NAIAD project (Grant Agreement nº 730497). The work I presented at the last EGU come from my PhD thesis, defended last June, and aiming to describe phenomena that occur in sediment traps. We built a generic Froude scale model and develop a new measurement method enabling to reconstruct flow fields and to better understand the phenomena of massive sediment deposition in debris basin. This work has been granted by two projects: the RISBA project granted by the Alcotra European Fund, (project website: http://www.regione.piemonte.it/difesasuolo/risba/) and the SedAlp project granted by the AlpineSpace European Fund (project website: http://www.sedalp.eu).
