Bart Schilperoort is a PhD student at the department of Watermanagement of the University of Technology Delft. His research is focussed on using distributed temperature sensing (DTS) to measure evaporation and other atmospheric processes. By applying high spatial resolution air temperature measurements, he is able to study processes ranging from spatial heterogeneity of fluxes and vertical structures in forest. Future applications will be studying horizontal advection and turbulent structures using DTS.
