The 2016 Outstanding Student Poster and PICO (OSPP) Award is awarded to Arnaud Watlet for the poster/PICO entitled:

Multi-scale hydrogeological and hydrogeophysical approach to monitor vadose zone hydrodynamics of a karst system (Watlet, A.; Poulain, A.; Van Camp, M.; Francis, O.; Triantafyllou, A.; Rochez, G.; Hallet, V.; Kaufmann, O.)

Arnaud Watlet is a PhD student in hydrogeophysics at the Geology and Applied Geology Unit of the University of Mons (Belgium) and at the Seismology-Gravimetry Section of the Royal Observatory of Belgium. His research is dedicated to understanding hydrological processes in karst systems through geophysical methods, in the framework of the Karst Aquifer Research by Geophysics (KARAG) project. In collaboration with colleagues of University of Namur (Belgium) and University of Luxembourg, they developed a multi-method and multi-scale approach based on a combination of an Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) monitoring, continuous gravimetric measurements and a hydrogeological monitoring to identify and link local and regional groundwater recharges in karstic aquifers.
