Anouk Beniest is a second-year PhD student at the Institut de la Science de la Terre de Paris at the University Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris and IFP Energies nouvelles in Rueil-Malmaison, France. Her research includes geological concepts and geophysical methods to increase our understanding of rift to spreading processes. Her geological background permits to modify these models according to geological and geophysical observations. The poster presented at the EGU 2016 shows the results of a modeling exercise based on the South Atlantic rifted margin basins. The results show that, besides climate changes, large-scale processes also affect the vertical variations observed in marginal basins.
