Ivy Tan
AS Atmospheric Sciences
The 2015 Outstanding Student Poster (OSP) Award is awarded to Ivy Tan for the poster/PICO entitled:
In search of the best match: probing a multi-dimensional cloud microphysical parameter space to better understand what controls cloud thermodynamic phase (Tan, I; Storelvmo, T.)

Ivy Tan is a PhD candidate at Yale University, supervised by Prof. Trude Storelvmo. She researches how aerosols impact Earth’s climate through mixed-phase clouds using climate models and satellite data. The awarded poster summarizes a method that was used to constrain mixed-phase clouds with satellite observations in order to assess and understand the impact of the thermodynamic phase partitioning on climate sensitivity.
