Chiara Arrighi is a PhD student of a joint doctoral program between the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Florence in Italy and the Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany. Since 2012 she has been working on flood risk assessment and mapping in urban areas with case studies in Italy (Florence and Pisa). Urban floods are her main area of interest both in the field of the hydraulic modelling both in the estimation of risk in art cities. She is currently focusing on a peculiar aspect of urban flooding, which is the transport of cars in inundated streets. She is an EGU member since 2013.
