Lauren Blum is a PhD candidate at the University of Colorado, Boulder working under the supervision of Dr. Xinlin Li. Her work focuses on understanding the dynamics of the Earth’s radiation belts and in particular, loss of these energetic electrons to the atmosphere. Her EGU 2014 poster investigates the distributions of rapid precipitation events in relation to the response of the outer radiation belt to geomagnetic storms.
