The 2014 Outstanding Student Poster (OSP) Award is awarded to Cătălin Negrea for the poster/PICO entitled:

Gravity Wave Detection Methodology Using Dynasonde Data (Negrea, C.; Zabotin, N.; Bullett, T.)

Cătălin Negrea is a Ph.D. student at the University of Colorado – Boulder and also at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in Boulder, Colorado. His research focusses on characterizing the lower atmosphere influence on terrestrial space weather via energy and momentum transport by gravity waves. The EGU 2014 poster on “Gravity Wave Detection Methodology Using Dynasonde Data” described the analysis methodology being developed for the characterization of the thermospheric wave field using ionospheric measurements.
