Stuart Rae is a PhD student in the School of Earth, Atmospheric and Environmental Science at the University of Manchester, UK, under the supervision of Dr. Stephen Boult and Dr. Bart van Dongen. His research focuses on quantifying spatial and temporal variations in the fluvial and gaseous organic carbon fluxes from upland peat catchments. This EGU 2013 poster presents work examining how upland catchment management practices could potentially affect the physical and chemical character of the streamwater organic carbon load and the ease with which these waters can be made potable.
