Leo Kirchmaier is a Master student at the VIRIS Laboratory (head: Thomas Prohaska), Department of Chemistry, at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna. His master project focuses on the comparison of different hard parts of fish for their suitability to answer fish ecological questions (e.g. tracing environmental pollution). In his poster at the 2013 EGU General Assembly, he presented the first results on a case study of fish from Danube River showing significant differences between the multi-element compositions of fish hard parts.
