Péter Völgyesi is a PhD student in the Doctoral School of Environmental Sciences at Eötvös University (Budapest, Hungary) and he is working in the Lithosphere Fluid Research Laboratory under the supervision of Csaba Szabo Ph.D. and Gyozo Jordan Ph.D. His research focuses on the investigation of an industrial area with multiple contamination sources by using attic dust samples. The main aim of this work is (1) to measure contamination load, (2) to establish spatial distribution of the pollutants, and (3) to determine the geochemical behavior of the toxic elements. On the poster presented at the EGU General Assembly 2012 spatial distribution of the toxic elements has shown good correspondence to the potential industrial sources.
