Miriam Muñoz-Rojas is currently finishing her PhD at the University of Seville, Med_Soil Research Group, and is a researcher in Evenor-Tech CSIC Spin-Off. She obtained her Agric. Eng. Degree at the University of Almeria, Spain and her MSc in Environmental Sciences at the Centre of Geo-Information and Remote Sensing, at Wageningen University, The Netherlands. Her research focus on land use and climate change effects on soil carbon dynamics and modeling of soil carbon sequestration. The poster at the EGU General Assembly 2012 presents results of current soil organic carbon stocks in Southern Spain for each land use and soil type, studying relationships between SOC stocks and selected environmental variables. This research is part of a global project for developing land evaluation tools to assess soil C sequestration capacity, as a new component of Micro LEIS DSS.
