Kirsten Kennedy has recently completed her MSc degree in the Department of Earth Sciences at Dalhousie University. Her research investigated the sedimentology of early vegetated environments in the Devonian, under the supervision of Dr. Martin Gibling. In her EGU 2011 poster, a facies analysis of a fossil-rich locality was used to provide a paleoenvironmental context for the plants, vertebrates and invertebrates occupying the ecosystem.
