Anna Arizzi is a PhD student at the Department of Mineralogy and Petrology of the University of Granada, Spain. Her research deals with the design and characterization of new lime-based mortars to be used as rendering materials in restoration of historic buildings as well as in modern construction. One of her main research goals is the application of appropriate methods for the correct evaluation of the fresh and hardened properties of lime mortars. In this sense, the work presented at EGU conference claims to verify the applicability to lime mortars of a method developed to achieve the packing density in granular mixtures.*
