Abdollah Jarihani is a PhD student in the School of Geography, Planning and Environmental Management at The University of Queensland, Australia under the supervision of Dr. Nickolaus Callow, Dr. Kasper Johansen and Dr. Ben Gouweleeuw. His research interest focuses on hydrologic and hydraulic applications of remote sensing and GIS techniques. His PhD research topic is ”Developing Remotely-Sensed Data Approaches to Predicting Land Cover and Condition Impacts on Hydrological Processes in Data-Poor Dryland Landscapes”.
The EGU 2011 poster presents results from a project, which he worked on to develop and calibrate a hydraulic model using remotely-sensed data and GIS for flood inundation mapping and prediction in data poor area.
