The 2010 Young Scientist Outstanding Poster Paper (YSOPP) Award is awarded to Enrico Kurtenbach for the poster/PICO entitled:

Using Kalman smoother to derive daily gravity field solutions Enrico Kurtenbach is a PhD student at the Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformation (Department of Astronomical, Physical, and Mathematical Geodesy) at the University of Bonn, Germany. His research focuses on the determination of the temporal variations of the Earth’s gravity field using the satellite mission GRACE (Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment). Within his work he developed a new approach (GRACE Kalman filter) to analyse these satellite data by introducing temporal correlation and to provide snapshots of the Earth’s gravity field with an unprecedented temporal resolution (daily mean values).
