Thomas Gouriou is a PhD student at the LIENSs Laboratory (LIttoral, ENvironment and Societies) of University of La Rochelle, France, under the supervision of Dr. Guy Wöppelmann. The aim of his research is to study the evolution of sea level components (mean sea level, sea level extremes, tidal constituents and meteorological effects) based on many sets of historical sea level measurements on the Charente-Maritime French atlantic coast (Cordouan lighthouse, Fort Enet, Fort Boyard, Aix Island, La Rochelle…) back to the middle of the 19th century. The poster presented at EGU 2008 presents an overview of Charente-Maritime coasts data sets.
