EGU Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Working Group seeks new members

The EGU Working Group on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) promotes and supports equality, diversity and inclusion of opportunities in the Earth, planetary and space sciences, with a focus on EGU activities. The group also works closely with the EGU Council and Outreach Committee as well as representatives from sister organisations to raise awareness of the value of EDI within the scientific community.

The EDI Working Group is seeking new members, preferably including at least one Early Career Scientist, to contribute to the objectives stated above.

Prospective candidates should have:

  • An interest in data analysis and data-driven strategies, in particular linked to geographical representation and diversity
  • A demonstrated interested in EDI issues
  • Experience in previous EDI sessions as (co-)author is preferred
  • A willingness and ability to work as part of a diverse group

Applications should include a motivation letter explaining how the applicant could contribute to EGU EDI activities (max. 1 page) and a CV (max. 2 pages).
