The EGU Outreach Committee promotes the Earth, planetary, and space sciences and the activities of the EGU among scientists, the public, policymakers and all other interested individuals and organisations. The committee focuses on public engagement activities, communication between scientists and students, and supporting the training and development of budding science communicators.

Prospective candidates should be:

• interested in a wide range of geoscience subjects that are linked to the activities of the Union (as exemplified by our different divisions)
• strongly interested in outreach, public engagement or science communication activities
• motivated to work in a committee, preferably with previous experience

Applications should include a letter explaining how the applicant could contribute to EGU outreach activities (1 page) and a CV (2 pages). We welcome applicants both from within and outside of Europe, and we especially encourage applicants from EU-13 countries. For further information about the positions, which are voluntary, please contact Solmaz Mohadjer, the Chair of the Outreach Committee.
