Project: Development of peatland restoration research in Canada
Mandate: Assist the researcher in a research program on the development of peatland restoration in Canada.
- Coordinate the various research activities of the Learning and Knowledge Hub (LKH);
- Ensure the team’s efficient operation and assist students in the development of research protocols;
- Contribute to writing projects and reports.
Academic qualifications required: Master’s degree obtained or in progress.
Requirements :
- Skills and knowledge specific to scientific research in plant ecology
- Knowledge of peatland ecosystems and ecological restoration an asset
- Driving licence
- Appreciate fieldwork and have good resilience to natural elements (flies, heat, rain)
- Ability to write and communicate in French and English (advanced level)
- Ability to effectively plan and organize a variety of tasks
- Ability to work with a diverse team
- Good leadership skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to use the Office suite
Dates: as soon as possible (from May 2024), depending on confirmation of research funding (5-year project)
Schedule: Full-time or part-time (to be discussed)
